We’re Terry and Kayla, a mother-daughter duo who have both experienced the internal conflict and longing associated with trying to fit into what society and loved ones desired us to be. We’re free-spirited, entrepreneurial, open-minded, creative thinkers, and demand control in our lives. All of which fly in the face of tradition and conformity.
I’ll always remember the day a friend changed the trajectory of my business and life by breathing belief back into me with a few simple words. It felt like a mountain had been lifted off my heart. I love weaving a great story. It’s my personal superpower. I’m also a Maverick, and when I considered the options available to me as a writer, traditional education and working for a boss were in conflict with my NEED to call the shots. After feeling lost for a few years, I saw my mom’s business with new eyes. I’d essentially been her silent business partner my whole life and we’d enjoyed the freedom driven lifestyle I longed for.
